Hi, I don’t know much about furniture so I am having a hard time right now choosing the best furniture for my bedroom. I was told by a friend that I should stick with solid wood construction and avoid veneers, but I noticed that there are a lot of different varieties of wood used in different furniture sets. So, as far as I’ve seen pine, maple, oak, alder, cherry, and mahogany are some of my top choices. What would be the best, then? And what makes it the best? What makes other wood cheap or of poor quality? And is there a site online that can help me with this predicament? I am really hoping someone can help me out because I want to buy a nice quality bedroom set and I don’t want to pay top dollar for some junky furniture. Thanks in advance. I’m planning on renovating my master bathroom, and I pretty much know what I want in terms of style. However, I happen to have cream color, cottage style bedroom furniture. Does the master bathroom have to match the color and style of my furniture? I was planning on having a dark color for the vanity, neutral color tile, with bronze faucets, and beige color granite counter top. Please give some opinions on this. Thanks!
